Comprehensive testing is valuable whether you want to prepare for admission to a British school or find a tutor for individual lessons.
If you are considering enrolling your child in a British school, two key steps are crucial: Assessing the child’s academic preparation through informal yet thorough testing and developing a clear Academic Preparation Plan based on the results. This testing is a personalised 2-hour session with a native English-speaking teacher that can be conducted in person or remotely online. The typical stages include:
- Written Testing in Mathematics: Evaluating numerical and problem-solving skills.
- Written Testing in English: Assessing grammar, vocabulary, and written expression.
- English Dialogue: Determining the level of spoken English proficiency through conversation.
- Logic Tasks: Measuring analytical thinking and reasoning skills.
- Testing in Additional Subjects (Optional): This can be scheduled as extra time, depending on your needs.
Since testing is conducted one-on-one, the teacher can adapt the session to suit your child’s strengths and areas for improvement. Stages, sections, or subjects can be modified, added, or removed as needed to ensure an accurate assessment.

- What is your child’s level of written English? Evaluates grammar, vocabulary, and ability to construct written responses.

- Can your child solve math (or other subject-specific) problems using instructions in English? Determines the ability to apply subject knowledge in English, including subjects like physics, chemistry, or biology if applicable.
- Does your child understand English terminology? Identifies familiarity with subject-specific vocabulary essential for academic success.
- What is your child’s overall academic level compared to peers already studying in Britain? Provides a benchmark of your child’s preparedness relative to British academic standards.
- What areas should be prioritised for admission preparation? Highlights strengths and identifies areas needing improvement to focus preparation effectively.
How the Results Are Presented
Within a few days after the testing, you will receive a detailed report with your child’s results and comments and recommendations from the teacher for each tested section. If you are searching for a school, our consultants will use the results to recommend the most suitable options for your child.
